SWISS wins Skytrax award for best First Class lounge
SWISS has earned first place for its First Class Lounge at Zurich Airport in the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The company was also placed tenth overall in the awards’ World’s Best Airlines rankings. This year’s World Airline Awards of the Skytrax international rating organization were based on a survey of over 21 million airline customers.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) again earned first place in the ‘World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge’ category in this year’s prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards, having previously secured the distinction in 2022. This year’s award was bestowed on SWISS’s Terminal E First Class Lounge at Zurich Airport. Switzerland’s leading air carrier was also named one of the world’s ten best airlines by travellers in these 2024 Skytrax awards.
Roger Geu, Head of Lounges Switzerland, collected the distinctions at this year’s Skytrax awards ceremony in London. “We are delighted to again receive this award for our First Class Lounge, and also to be named by travellers as one of the world’s top ten airlines,” Geu said. “These prestigious distinctions are a recognition to us of our commitment to giving our guests a consistently top-calibre service and optimum travel comfort. They also confirm once again our premium airline credentials. And that makes me very proud.”
Exclusive amenities for SWISS First guests
The SWISS First Class Lounge in Terminal E at Zurich Airport offers both outstanding service and a range of exclusive amenities that extend to dedicated hotel rooms, mini-suites, a champagne bar, a five-star à la carte restaurant, a wine humidor with more than 1,000 bottles from all over the world and a conference room. The lounge provides SWISS travellers using the airport’s Terminal E with a relaxed ambience away from the usual airport bustle. Guests can also enjoy a 352-square-metre terrace that offers unparallelled views of the airport’s flight and apron activities.
The Skytrax World Airline Awards
The independent World Airline Awards have been bestowed annually by the Skytrax specialist aviation rating organization since 1999. The corresponding airline customer surveys evaluate both inflight products and airport services. The 2024 awards were based on over 21 million assessments of some 350 airlines by customers from more than 100 countries.
